Default What to look for...
What qualities or features should I look for in a good website hosting company? There are so many options out there and I don't want to end up stuck with a crappy company. I was going through the boards and saw one called Host Monster and Blue Host. They seem to be highly recommended sites but what attracts a webmaster to a certain web hosting site? What should I look for? Should I go with one of the above mentioned sites?

I think it depends on what you really want. I think you will be the best judge of what features you should look for.
What i think is difficult is find a hosting company you are sure 'really' has those features. Google up reviews of a particular site would help in coming to a decision

I think you should check the reputation of the company. How long have they been around? What are other users saying about them? How much do they charge compared to other companies?

yeah i think you must check the reputation of the company and how its doing. simple things matter. do make sure that the company isnt getting sold to someone else. double check the price.

through out my life i've been with a lots of hosts, but the feature u must look for in a host is the Technical and Backsupport they offer, in my experience

The Web Pole.com : Affordable, full service web hosting packages. offers them well and good and it is also a free hosting provider
