Default green hosting

I have heard a lot about so-called green hosting. But what do they do to make it green that any other hosting company could not do?

It's not just about buying credits. using energy efficiently to power the hosting center and utilizing technologies for cycling and recycling solar and wind power as part of the package makes a green web host.

Internet users access your website using your domain name. The name servers point the way to the files. if the web server rack space has cost effective or energy efficient qualities so much the better.

a web host can be green if a portion of the energy comes from wind power or solar power.

Green hosting should be friendly to the environment and not damage natural resources.

Green hosting should happen with no exhaust and pollution to the air. Construction and maintenance procedures should minimize scarring the environment.
